Description & History: Highbury Hall is a superb mini- stately home, kept and maintained by Birmingham City Council and an excellent venue either to be married here under civil license or as a wedding reception.  Situated away from the road its quiet and peaceful yet has easy access from the Kings Heath direction or city centre direction along Yew Tree Road Moseley.  Ample lawns to the rear, horticulture, inside large hall, overlooking gallery with framed pictures of the famous politician Joseph Chamberlain, father of former British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and Neville's elder brother also of distinguished political career Austen Chamberlain.

Additional information - As said, Highbury Hall was built for Joe (Joseph) Chamberlain, father of the famous British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain by the unrelated John Henry Chamberlain known then as JH Chamberlain.  Not only did JH Chamberlain build  the magnificent Highbury Hall, but also a raft of other historically important buildings in and around Birmingham, such as the old Library, the Birmingham and Midland Institute, and also some churches which were all built by JH Chamberlain with his business partner William Martin.  Alongside the Adrian Boult Hall, there's a door to the Shakespeare Memorial Library - this is an entire room rescued when the old library was demolished.  It is nothing short of fantastic, and the only thing remaining of the library that John Henry designed.  This additional information was provided by Pauline Roberts - Chairman of the Friends of Key Hill, also chairman of the Victorian Society and the chairman of the Planning committee of the Civic Society.
