The Hillman Imp was launched in May 1963 as a completely new and innovative small car. The Duke of Edinburgh opened the purpose built factory at Linwood, Scotland on May 2nd 1963.   Over 440,000 cars were built before production ceased in 1976. Saloon, Coupe, Van and Estate variants of the imp were produced over this period and these were marketed as Hillman, Singer, Commer and Sunbeam versions.   To celebrate this golden anniversary the Imp Club has many special events taking place during 2013. Take a look at our Events section.
